MADE FROM WITHINBrand positioning and digital build for an emerging motorsport team.
Tricolor KTM Motorsport, India.
Indian motorsport has a problem everyone inside it understands but few will name. The category has decided that motorsport is theatre. Loud colours, exclamation marks, podium spray, the language of war. It is a culture built around the spectacle of winning.
The Challenge
Tricolor is a serious team with international ambition. Copying the category's visual and verbal language would have bought them recognition and locked them into its ceiling. But three audiences were pulling in different directions. Sponsors evaluate teams on visible aggression. Riders and crew know the real work happens in preparation. Serious fans were quietly tired of the noise.
The Insight
Look closely at what serious motorsport fans anywhere actually respond to and it is not the spectacle of winning. It is the credibility of the preparation that produced it. Formula One's deepest engagement lives in the technical analysis and the pit-wall footage, not the highlights reel. The myth of motorsport is not speed. It is discipline.
The Work
Tricolor would compete on the depth of its preparation rather than the volume of its theatre. The positioning became public: we believe the real race begins long before the engine starts. Made From Within worked as both platform and creative brief. The visual system used the tricolour sparingly against black and disciplined negative space. Long-form narrative, which the category had ignored, became central. The content engine ran on strategy ahead of calendar, so every quarter carried a narrative arc rather than a posting schedule.
What It Changed
In the first full quarter, the channel grew from roughly 1,000 followers to 5,378, with monthly additions accelerating throughout. December views reached 437K against a planned campaign arc rather than a viral accident. The number we watch most closely is less flattering: 93.4 percent of views came from non-followers. The team is being discovered faster than its community is forming. That is a reasonable outcome three months into a brand build, and a clear instruction for the next phase.
